(NASCAR Style)
There were quite a few interesting tweets from the drivers this week both pertaining to the race and not about the race, so let's check them out!
What did I get myself into...
-@JimmieJohnson (Jimmie Johnson) on his promotional stunt for the upcoming new Madagascar 3 movie. Johnson later went on to say...
What a day for the @lowesracing team. Personally love my new hair style.
Obviously a change of heart about the hair
Qualifying coming up soon. Time to hold my breathe and lay down a fast lap. #MonsterMile
-@JeffGordonWeb (Jeff Gordon) on how hard it is to turn one qualifying lap at Dover International Speedway, most drivers exit the cars with their hands shaking
Huge thanks to @rchilders55 and Arron's team for the rocket🚀. I am so proud of MWR and my teammates. Thanks for letting me be part of it.
-@55MarkMartin (Mark Martin) thanking his crew chief Rodney Childers after scoring the pole position for the race at Dover, his 54th career pole
Man @55MarkMartin you sure were in a hurry! We're you afraid of missing your afternoon nap? Btw are you running pocono?#stilltheman
-@mattkenseth (Matt Kenseth) poking some fun at the 53-year-old Martin, but still giving him credit
Damn lap cars!
-@keselowski (Brad Keselowski) after Ryan Truex appeared to be poised to score his first Nationwide victory, but was trapped by two slower cars, allowing Joey Logano to fly past him
That really sucks for Ryan Truex. Hate to see something like that cost him a chance to race straight up for the win.
-@Regan_Smith_ (Regan Smith) sharing similar feelings to Keselowski's
-@55MarkMartin (Mark Martin) with some words of encouragement for the young Truex
So close. Feel terrible for little bro but he did all he could. Showed why he deserves a full time ride AGAIN #wheelman
-@MartinTruexJr56 (Martin Truex Jr.) on his little brother's loss, but explaining why he deserves a full time Nationwide ride
Disappointed
-@Ryan_Truex (Ryan Truex) all that needed to be said by him after his heartbreaking loss
Alan Gustafson: "F----- debris, you gotta be kidding me." Jeff Gordon: "No sh*t, right? Where the f--- is the debris?"
-@jeff_gluck (NASCAR writer Jeff Gluck) radio conversation between Jeff Gordon and crew chief Alan Gustafson after a mysterious debris caution cost them a chance at a win in the Sprint Cup race
Have I mentioned how much I hate this track.. #concreteheadache
-@dennyhamlin (Denny Hamlin) on his lack of success at the concrete Dover track, arguably his worst track
Those are the most interesting ones from this week's action, we'll see what the drivers have to say after this weekend's race at Pocono next Tuesday!
