Power
Rankings
Dover:
Now that the double weekend at Charlotte is behind us and the summer stretch starts to come about, lets see who makes this week's top-10! Because it has been so long since I've updated power rankings, there will be no drivers that have fallen out or entered the top-10, it's basically like starting fresh again.
1. Greg Biffle
This is no-brainer. The Biff continues to dominate the top spot at in the standings so it only makes sense to have him at #1 this week. Biffle has two wins at Dover, but hasn't finished in the top-10 in the last three races there.
2. Matt Kenseth
Kenseth doing what Kenseth does best, staying under the radar and finishing strong. He is always stout at Dover with two wins there including winning this race one year ago.
3. Denny Hamlin
He'll never admit to it because he hasn't won as much as he expects to, but this guy is running so solid. Hamlin is the type of driver who can win anywhere........except Dover. This is by far his worst track, I don't even want to show you the stats.
4. Dale Earnhardt Jr.
C'mon Junior! It's great that he's running so consistently, but dang it, get that win! Little E has one win here but way back in 2001, not sure that he'll end the winless streak this week.
5. Jimmie Johnson
Man on fire. If it wasn't for a pit road miscue at Charlotte, this guy would be easily the hottest driver on the circuit, however, we'll discuss who is shortly. Johnson has an insane record at Dover, 6 wins is enough said though.
6. Kasey Kahne
This is the Human Torch compared to Johnson and now with the Charlotte win, he's got some swagger. Never has been stellar at Dover, but with how well he's running right now, I'm not going to predict anything.
7. Martin Truex Jr.
Starting to cool off from his hot start, however there is hope! Dover is the site of Truex's first and only win. Plus he's the hometown boy.
8. Kevin Harvick
Slowly but surely plugging away this season, nothing crazy though. Not much else to say about Happy Harvick.
9. Kyle Busch
Racking up the top-5's, but that's nothing new for Rowdy. Almost as stellar at Dover as Johnson so watch out for Wild Thing this weekend.
10. Tony Stewart
Stewart was insanely frustrated at Charlotte this past weekend. I predict the same for this weekend at Dover where Stewart has just plain 'ol sucked as of late.
Check back next week to see who's in and who's out!
