Description: Bayne may have the biggest underdog win in the history of NASCAR.

Just one day after turning 20 years old and in just the second ever Sprint Cup race for him, Bayne went out and won the freakin' Daytona 500. That win cemented Bayne in NASCAR's history regardless of whatever else he does in his career. He became the youngest winner of NASCAR's biggest race. He tied Jamie McMurray for the fastest career win with the fewest starts. And not to mention, he gave the legendary Wood Brothers their first race win since 2001.

But even after that monumental win, the Wood Brothers just didn't have the resources to run Bayne for an entire season in Sprint Cup. So, Bayne bided his time down in the XFinity Series (formerly Nationwide) for owner Jack Roush. He won a couple of races in that series over a few seasons. He also endured a lengthy battle with Lyme Disease that kept him out of the car for weeks in 2011 and was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2013, though the disease shouldn't affect his ability to race for years at least.

Now, after paying his dues and enduring a few hardships, some that will affect his life significantly in the coming years, Bayne's patience landed him a full-time Sprint Cup ride with Roush. It will be interesting to see if Bayne can help turn around Roush's poor performance in the last few years and also prove that his Daytona 500 win was not a fluke.

Fun Facts: Bayne is an outspoken Christian and has been on several mission trips to Mexico to aid those in need.
