Twitter Tuesdays (NASCAR Style) Oct. 9

Twitter
Tuesdays
(NASCAR Style)

Talladega came and Talladega went. Although it did not leave without a bang. The final lap saw a massive 25 car pile-up that included 9 of the 12 Chase drivers. Only Jeff Gordon, Greg Biffle, and race winner Matt Kenseth made it out of Alabama without significant damage to their cars. However, the top of the points standings remained oddly unchanged for the most part. There was still plenty to talk about though, so let's delve into this week's edition of Twitter Tuesday.

a lot of cool changes for 2013 coming from NASCAR.
-@jpmontoya (Juan Pablo Montoya) hinting at new changes that were eventually announced by NASCAR last week. Those changes included open testing coming back and the dismissal of the top-35 rule.

Thank you to all my fans who've been so patient and the people who make this a reality. 1 of many, we're not gonna get complacent.
-@pkligerman (Parker Kligerman, Truck Series driver) after his first career Truck win at Talladega this weekend.

Shit!!! Was where I wanted to be and it just wasn't meant to be. I will say I love Matt Kenseth but he should've been penalized for blocking
-@ClintBowyer (Clint Bowyer) after being involved in the 25 car pile-up on the last lap and having a suggestion about fellow driver Matt Kenseth.

Run up front all day and wreck coming to the checked running 3rd... Welcome to 2012 and thank god it's almost over..
-@KevinHarvick (Kevin Harvick) who was also involved in the pile-up and expressing his frustrations about a very tough season.

Someone needs to make a t-shirt that says, "I survived Talladega" Guaranteed at-least 43 customers.
-@keselowski (Brad Keselowski) the current points leader showing off some of his classic Twitter humor. Keselowski was in the pile-up, but managed to finish 7th still.

Excited to hop in the 51 Phoenix Chevy next week, good group of guys. Going to miss all the 78 guys as well.
-@Regan_Smith_ (Regan Smith) who is essentially switching cars with Kurt Busch starting this week. Smith got the #78 car and team their first ever win last season at Darlington.

Sorry folks. Not the way I wanna race but I needed to just survive today. I'll make it up to you at Charlotte
-@dennyhamlin (Denny Hamlin) apologizing to his fans about riding in the back of the pack all day at Talladega to avoid the wreck. He was still in the wreck and failed to make up any ground on Keselowski and Jimmie Johnson.

Thanks for the lift Jr
-@JimmieJohnson (Jimmie Johnson) getting a lift from teammate Dale Earnhardt Jr. after the two were both caught in the final crash. Johnson's car wasn't drivable so Junior gave him a ride.

That was one of the craziest wrecks I've ever seen out my windshield!!!! Glad everyone was ok and just amazing I was able to get through it
-@gbiffle (Greg Biffle) who was just as adamant during his post race interview that no one would believe what he saw out of his windshield when the massive wreck ensued. He somehow got through it.
