Twitter Tuesdays (NASCAR Style) Oct. 16

Tuesdays
(NASCAR Style)

A pretty ho-hum race at Charlotte for the most part until the end when everyone's favorite type of racing, that's right, you guessed it, fuel milage racing came into play. Ultimately, Clint Bowyer stretched his fuel enough to win and then went into his notorious "party boy" mode after the race. You'll see what I mean by his tweets. And there will be a whole section dedicated to the driver's reactions about the Dale Earnhardt Jr. concussion news from this past week.

On Dale Jr.'s concussion and him sitting out for two races:

Crazy news this morning. I feel so bad for  and the entire #88 team. Now we need to focus on his recovery.
- (Jimmie Johnson), Dale Jr,'s teammate.

Sorry to hear about dale jr. Puts things In perspective about what "can" happen.
- (Denny Hamlin)

Can't believe the news on Dale Jr this morning. Sitting out this weekend with concussion from Dega wreck. Feel bad for him
- (Kasey Kahne), Dale Jr.'s teammate.

Pretty shocking news about Dale Jr. He was having such an amazing season.... but health always has to come first.
- (Danica Patrick), Dale Jr.'s her Nationwide car owner.

Might be late to the party, but I'm absolutely floored to hear about dale jr. Not racing this weekend. Concussions are no joke...
- (Brad Keselowski)

Just heard the news about . Hate that for him & the team. Concussions and headaches r nothing to mess around with.
- (Jeff Gordon), Dale Jr.'s teammate.

Wishing Dale Jr a speedy recovery, be looking forward to having u back in a couple weeks. Get well, bud.
- (Kyle Busch)

Jr.should b commended for being honest with himself.Giving up your seat sucks but he is leading by example!
- (Jeff Burton)

And on to the rest:

Very excited for the opportunity to get in the 88, hate the circumstances for Dale Jr though. Hope he has a safe and speedy recovery.
(Regan Smith) who was originally slated to run in the #51 car for Phoenix Racing at Charlotte before Earnhardt couldn't race and he was then called up by Rick Hendrick to race Jr.'s car.

Really happy to be back in a car. Been a crazy morning getting everything ready. Cant thank Phoenix Racing enough for this chance.
- (A.J. Allmendinger) who stepped in to drive the #51 car after Regan Smith went to drive Earnhardt's car. This was Allmendinger's first race back since being suspended for a failed drug test in July.

Coolest thing ever. Just sat next to Bobby Allison at an autograph session. You're darn right I got a picture
- (Landon Cassill) meeting a NASCAR legend in Bobby Allison (above).

Where is the party tonight ?
- (Jimmie Johnson) after Bowyer won at Charlotte and is known for partying it up when he wins!

WTH happened last night. Woke up with a blue jacket, trophy, bottle of jack, a keg, a dog, a new watch, a driveshaft, and a headache! Haha
- (Clint Bowyer) after his Charlotte win. Enough said.

Its hard to believe a year has gone by since Dan died. I miss him and I know so many others do too.
- (Danica Patrick) on a year gone by since IndyCar racer Dan Wheldon died in a crash at Las Vegas. R.I.P. Dan.
