Twitter Tuesdays (NASCAR Style) Aug. 21

 Twitter
Tuesdays
(NASCAR Style)

Another week, another crazy race and it was unexpectedly at Michigan where it seemed it was very unfortunate to be the leader unless you were Greg Biffle. The drivers had many opinions to share and I'm sure there will be more this week as all three top series head to Thunder Valley, Bristol Motor Speedway.

They said it:

the @BMSupdates Intro song is picked… Its one a lot of you have sang at about 1AM at your local watering hole…at least the chorus!!
-@BrianLVickers (Brian Vickers) hinting at his Bristol Motor Speedway intro song for this upcoming weekend. Bristol is the only race where drivers get to be introduced to their favorite song.

Just saw Nitro Circus. Now Harrison wants to get a group together to film stunts.Im sure his Mom will support that idea
-@RCR31JeffBurton (Jeff Burton) on his son, Harrison, who wants to attempt the stunts he saw in the extreme action sports film, Nitro Circus. Nitro Circus, of course, is also a TV show of the same genre headed up by rookie NASCAR Nationwide driver Travis Pastrana.

Awesome! Congrats to Felix Hernandez on a perfect game!!! 23rd perfect game in MLB history!
-@bscottracing (Brian Scott, Nationwide driver) congratulating Seattle Mariners pitcher Felix Hernandez on his perfect game, the first in Mariners history, last Friday.

Congrats @NelsonPiquet! Sometimes a bad break can turn into a good break. Spin and win!
-@JeffGordonWeb (Jeff Gordon) congratulating Nelson Piquet Jr. on his first Truck Series win. Piquet spun out in the race but still went on to win.

AWESOME race by @J_Allgaier ... Watched him develop those RC skills from a auspicious start. Amazing. He deserves it! #NASCAR
-@pkligerman (Parker Kligerman, Truck Series driver) congratulating Justin Allgaier on his Montreal win. Allgaier was not known for his road course skills, but he still triumphed at Montreal.

Man that car reminded me of the 60 Winn Dixie Busch car. It was the fastest thing out there. I will be back to race another day.
-@55MarkMartin (Mark Martin) commenting on how dominant his car was at Michigan before being involved in a vicious wreck. Martin started on pole and led nearly the first 50 laps before spinning out under strange circumstances and crashing into the pit road wall, impaling his car right behind the driver seat.

Dear god, I am so thankfully @55MarkMartin and @kaseykahne team is ok after that wreck Michigan speedway. #nascar
-@keselowski (Brad Keselowski) stating what a lot of other drivers said after seeing Martin's crash into Kahne's pit.

I'm glad @55MarkMartin is on after that shunt. shame we were involved in that.
-@jpmontoya (Juan Pablo Montoya) reiterating Keselowski's feelings.

When did twitter become Facebook?? Why are people talking about off the track drama?? How about how good the racing has been on track??
-@Elliott_Sadler (Elliott Sadler) pointing out how people are too concerned with petty matters happening off of the track whereas they should be how great things are going on track week after week.

Thanks everyone, today was a tough one. We blew up & I'm disappointed, not much else to say. Now it's on to Bristol.
-@JimmieJohnson (Jimmie Johnson) after his engine blew when he took the lead with only ten laps to go. Johnson was pulling away from Greg Biffle when his engine gave up, the second time that happened to him last weekend. He lost an engine in practice also.

I clearly don't like what most people do... Watched hunger games last night, its terrible. And i can't even watch 10 mins of twilight...
-@bscottracing (Brian Scott, Nationwide driver) on pop culture today. Don't worry Brian, I'm right there with you.

Tune in next week to see what will be said after an insane weekend under the lights at Bristol!
